Zebrawood's mostly straight grain patterns are composed of black, brown, tan and often nearly white patterns. This wood is often paired with much darker woods or bright colors for contrast.
A "Traditional" Cross construction is accomplished by having two (2) separate pieces of wood. The first for the Cross Beam and the second for the vertical beam. His Holy cross uses BOTH Traditional and Bookmatched construction when crafting Zebrawood. Traditional construction has far less waste than bookmatching (when making a Cross). Both are acceptable practices.
Zebrawood is so unique in its grain patterns and colors, that it makes a stunning Cross using either technique. The use of Maple Trim also highlights Zebrawood's character through the significant contrast.
